Just a quick "extra," a copyright-free vintage graphic. Halloween used to be a much bigger celebration in the U.S. than it is today, despite being second only to Christmas in terms of expenditure nowadays. At the turn of the century, it was quite the fashion to have elaborate parties if you could afford it, or to at least have some type of get-together, often tied in with a harvest theme and a fortune-telling theme. Many young people attempted to find out "who" would be their true love through palmistry and portents, many of them involving simple materials such as apples and chestnuts.

I know, wouldn't it be fun to have an old fashioned kind of Halloween party. I have a couple old fortune telling games in my collection.
I love this graphic!
Thanks,
Rosemary
Cute graphic from a simpler time! The cat's expression is priceless.
