Free Autumn Graphic: "Wheel of Cheese" Pumpkin

Here's a copyright-free photograph of a Rouge Vif D'Etamps pumpkin growing in my garden. It's an old heirloom pumpkin that originated in France. It is flat, like a wheel of cheese, and is also sometimes called the "Cinderella Pumpkin." It has a deep orange color when mature.

I always grow pumpkins and this one is my hands-down favorite, although I do admit that the Wee Be Littles also have my heart.

Wow, I am so impressed!!
How cool to have them growing in your garden, especially a French pumpkin. I tried growing them, but all I got were leaves and blossoms. No pumpkins:(
I have to say I have never heard of a Wheel of Cheese pumpkin.
Have a great weekend!

I am also impressed! I tried to grow them last year but our weather wasn't good and just got vines!
Kudos to you!

Gals, don't congratulate me yet, I am having a mighty battle with some "squash bugs" over just whose pumpkins they are!!! And so far, the bugs are WINNING!!!
