I love the old-time graphics. They remind of past times...I'm glad I grew up when Halloween was allowed to be Halloween, and no one became hysterical when children wished to wear "dark" and scary costumes.
Our streets were thronged with multitudes of pint-sized witches and red devils by the dozens. And you know what? Back then, no one had to worry much about their children being preyed upon, as they do now. We ate the treats the neighbors baked. We knew our neighbors, too. And even when we roamed into far-away blocks, we still were perfectly safe & eagerly snacked on homemade popcorn balls and candy apples. No one had to x-ray candy. The past had its problems, but Halloween wasn't one of them.
